Slow Cooker Chicken and Gravy

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs chicken breast or thighs
  • 1 packet chicken gravy mix
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
  • cups chicken broth

Method
 

  1. Step 1 – Set the Base
    Place the chicken in the bottom of your slow cooker in a single layer if possible.
    Tip: Don’t stack too much—this helps it cook evenly.
  2. Step 2 – Mix the Gravy
    In a bowl, whisk together:
    Gravy mix
    Cream of chicken soup
    Chicken broth
    Mix until smooth.
  3. Step 3 – Pour and Cook
    Pour the mixture evenly over the chicken.
    Cook on:
    LOW: 6–7 hours
    HIGH: 3–4 hours
    Let it do its thing. No stirring needed.
  4. Step 4 – Shred the Chicken
    Once cooked, use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker.
    It should fall apart easily—if it doesn’t, give it another 30 minutes.
  5. Step 5 – Adjust Texture
    Too thick? Add a splash of broth
    Too thin? Add a cornstarch slurry (1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water)
