Patriotic Oreo Balls Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 package Oreo cookies, about 14.3 oz
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 lb white almond bark or white melting wafers
  • 1/2 cup red candy melts
  • 1/2 cup blue candy melts
  • Red, white, and blue sprinkles

Method
 

  1. Crush the Oreos: Add whole Oreos to a food processor and pulse into fine crumbs.
  2. Mix with Cream Cheese: Add softened cream cheese and mix until a thick, smooth dough forms.
  3. Roll into Balls: Scoop and roll the mixture into 1-inch balls, then place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Chill Until Firm: Freeze for 20–30 minutes or refrigerate for about 1 hour until firm.
  5. Melt the Coating: Melt white candy coating in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  6. Dip the Oreo Balls: Dip each chilled ball into the coating, tap off excess, and place it back on parchment paper.
  7. Decorate: Add sprinkles right away, or drizzle with melted red and blue candy melts.
  8. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes until set, then serve chilled.
